Description
This bit is a combination of a loose ring snaffle with a gag that exerts pressure on the poll. The bit has holes in the top and bottom of the cheeks through which the reins pass vertically.
Loose ring snaffles are a gentle bit that can be used across all disciplines. The rings move relatively freely, encouraging a relaxed and mobile mouth and jaw.
Asthis bit can be fairly severe if used incorrectly, the rider must be sympatheticwith their hands and ensure they aresoft and forgiving to avoid too much pressure on the poll.
Different cheekpieces are required on bridles using this type of bit.
