Beris Ported US Tandem Bit

Description

This combination hackamore has a soft, flexible ported mouthpiece, which is pleasant in the horse’s mouth yet has a steel core, and a rubber-covered noseband.

PORTED MOUTHPIECE

This bit fits the horse’s mouth anatomically so it sits in the perfect position. The flattened area on the port allows plenty of space for the horse’s tongue. As a result, many horses respond with increased relaxation and chewing.

This bit is often suitable for horses with a very soft mouth that don’t like complicated mouthpieces and those that won’t tolerate tongue pressure and tend to react to this by headshaking.

This bit is also a good choice for those that tend to put their tongue over the bit. The port helps to prevent this be removing the central tongue pressure.

TANDEM BIT

Sometimes referred to as a combination hackamore, the tandem bit distributes pressure between the nose, lower jaw and poll. When the rein pressure is increased, so is the pressure on the bars of the mouth, giving yet another point of control.

This bit is often suitable for horses that are very sensitive in the mouth, yet become uncontrollable in a hackamore. Tandem bits give better control of speed and direction, and more continuity in the contact.

The US Tandem has a rubber-covered noseband, giving a stronger effect than the rope version.
