Ariat Boot Cream – Black or Brown

1.5 ounce container

An important part of keeping a well-groomed image is knowing how to polish your boots. People make a decision on how they perceive you within minutes, just long enough to give you a thorough once-over from head to toe. If your upper half is the picture of perfection, but yourboots are a dry, dull and dusty mess, chances are you’ll be seen as someone who doesn’t take much pride in appearance or as a person who is too lazy to pay attention to detail. Knowing how to polishboots isn’t any different from polishing any other type of shoe. You’ll still need the right equipment, a few minutes of your time, and a desire to look your best.

What you’ll need to polish boots:

  • Newspaper
  • Gloves
  • Shoe polish
  • Shoe polishing brush
  • Soft T-shirt or cloth
  1. Protect your work area.Polishingboots can be messy so it will be important to protect your floors by spreading out a newspaper or an old blanket to work on. You might also want put on a pair of gloves to keep your hands clean.
  2. Clean both boots.Wipe off any dirt or dust from yourboots using a brush or a damp rag. If using a damp rag allow theboots to dry thoroughly before you start to polish.
  3. Apply the polish. When you are ready to polish, begin by applying a layer of polish to yourboot in a circular motion. You can use an applicator brush, a rag-covered finger or your gloved fingers to rub the polish into the boot. Place yourboots aside in a warm area and allow them to sit for two to five minutes.
  4. Apply more polish.Add another coating of polish to your boots. Be sure to get into the cracks and crevices when applying, using a toothbrush if necessary. Attention to detail when polishing yourboots is important.
  5. Allow the polish to set.Wait another two to five minutes for the polish to set. After enough time has passed use your polishing brush to buff away the polish.
  6. Polish.Take the soft T-shirt and polish theboot to a shine, working one section at a time. Be careful to pay extra attention to the heel and toe areas. After you have finished polishing, repeat steps three to eight with the second boot

Tips and warnings:

  • If you wear yourboots regularly, polish at least once a month.
  • Keepboot polish away from small children and curious pets.
